Overview: Rock Monitors are the heaviest-bodied lizard in Africa, as adult males average about 6 to 8 kg and females weigh from 3.2 to 5 kg.
Reproduction: Rock monitors breed between October and November and females lay 8-50 eggs in a hole they dig in moist soil or in a hollow tree.
