Internship Programme

Bayworld recognizes that unemployment amongst our youth is one of our country’s greatest challenges. This problem is further exacerbated by lack of skills and work experience. The intern and learnership programmes at Bayworld aims to facilitate the development of skills amongst young people in order to improve marketability and growth of the entire economy as an investment in human capital development. Bayworld provides the workplace experience and the practical facilitation to gain work skills and experience for which the individual has studied or wants to study in future.

These programmes provide Bayworld with an opportunity to get to know the learner or intern and to establish whether the intern is employable. Thus contributes to the recruitment and selection opportunity for the future needs of the organization. In this way Bayworld may find interns, who if offered permanent positions, will contribute towards reducing scares and critical skills shortage in the museum and heritage sector.
